One of our most important jobs as breeders is properly matching the right puppy with the right family. We will ask you to fill out a detailed application, which lets us know what kind of energy level, drive, talent, and personality will work best in your home. For example, a family that is looking for a therapy dog for a school reading program will get a puppy with a lower drive to play, bite, and tug than we’d match with a family looking for a flyball prospect. We do not make the final matches between puppies and homes until the puppies are at least seven weeks old, and puppies typically go to their new homes at between eight and ten weeks.
